I finally got properly started with ringing Glaucous Gulls(Polarmåke) today. I managed t catch six of them, and they really gave me a fight before giving in to my ringing and measuring-efforts. But after a few scratches and bruises on my hands and arms I had finally managed to get started on this project. Also today there was an adult Herring Gull (Gråmåke) and an adult Iceland Gull (Grønlandsmåke) next to the trap, but one of the Glaucous Gulls were so agressive that it managed to chase them off. Hopefully they will come back again and go in the trap next time its up. Other birds of interest were 105 Purple Sandpipers (Fjæreplytt) and one male Ringed Plover (Sandlo).
